Mission Statement

Faithfully To The Altar amplifies the real stories of single Christians often unseen or misunderstood, challenging stereotypes and opening honest conversations about love, loneliness, and faith while reminding audiences that intentional, God-centered love is still possible.

The Story

Faithfully To The Altar was created to open honest and compassionate conversations around faith, love, healing, and modern Christian dating through the stories of real people navigating these experiences in real time.

Why does this matter now?

In a world where loneliness is rising, dating has become increasingly complicated, and many people are quietly giving up on love. This documentary seeks to remind audiences that meaningful connection, growth, and intentional love are still possible.

Through the vulnerable journeys of four real single Christians between the ages of 28 and 39 with diverse cultural backgrounds, the docu-series explores universal human experiences such as heartbreak, rejection, childhood trauma, ageism, and the emotional realities that often go unspoken both inside and outside the church.

Meet our singles

Justin, 29, is a laid-back, intentional, and fitness-enthusiast Water Waste Operator. He won the coveted national title of All-American Wrester in college and now coaches young men in his community. He opens up about his difficult childhood in an abusive home and his desire to have a family on his own "to give them the love he wished he had."

Sara, 28, is a fun, driven, and confident News Reporter. She was the Captain of her dance team in college and loves spending time with her family, particularly with her three nieces, to teach them the latest TikTok dance. Sara shares how she enjoys going on dates and meeting new people, but due to past betrayal and heartbreak, her trust has to be earned.

Dominic, 29, is a kind, resilient, and humorous Animal Caretaker at a local dog daycare. His love for animals started very young, and he decided to obtain a degree in Animal Science to better care for them. As a neurodivergent man, dating looks different for him, and he often faces rejection due to judgment of his abilities and job title.

Jessica, 39, is a self-reflective, kind, and encouraging Registered Nurse of 12+ years. She loves to study the Word of God with her sisters in Christ, cook, and travel. After a second marriage proposal ended in a failed engagement, she took some time off from nursing to heal. Now a barista at her church, she appreciates being surrounded by a supportive community, but is not immune to the societal pressure often reminding her that time is running out.

No stereotypes or cover-ups

Rather than portraying Christians as stereotypes or painting a rosy picture of who they are, Faithfully To The Altar aims to humanize their real experiences and reveal the complexities, struggles, hopes, and desires they carry while pursuing love and partnership in today’s culture.

The documentary was deeply inspired by the real-life journey of the Director's younger sister and her husband, who met on a Christian dating app and are featured in the series. Their story reflects the heart of this project: that godly love is not about perfection, but about grace, growth, forgiveness, patience, and commitment.

After a serious break-up while dating and experiencing challenges early in their marriage, including job loss 3 weeks after their honeymoon, they came to understand that love requires intentionality, resilience, and faith through uncertainty.

We also got the experts

Beyond storytelling, Faithfully To The Altar was created to serve as an educational resource. We interviewed a pastor and marriage counselor, the founder of a Christian singles social network, a Christian dating app president, and a licensed Christian sex and intimacy therapist to address important and often taboo conversations surrounding relationships, intimacy, emotional healing, marriage expectations, and preparation.

Our Message: You're not alone

Our goal is for audiences, especially singles who often feel isolated during this season of life, to walk away feeling less alone, more understood, and better equipped to pursue healthy, faith-centered relationships with wisdom, compassion, and authenticity.

From Documentary To Series

As we wrapped up filming, we realized these stories deserved more depth and care than a single documentary could hold. The vulnerability, emotional journeys, and expert conversations were too rich to rush through, so Faithfully To The Altar is now evolving into a four-part series. This transition allows us to better honor the stories of our participants and create a more immersive experience for audiences who rarely see authentic portrayals of Christians and singles represented on screen with this level of honesty and nuance.
