Here, there, and everywhere.

There's movement on the radar. We have an upcoming three day trip to LA to meet with a potential casting director who might be able to help us out with bringing some talent on board in specific roles. We are also recording five original songs in Birmingham, Alabama, written by the talented AJ Haynes of the Seratones from March 25 - March 30, all funded by our recent crowdfunding campaign through Seed&Spark. We might even have a few more tricks up our sleeve while we have some of the team together during this time. Stay tuned!

We had a fun write-up recently on Electric Bleau in Creative Loafing Atlanta, and AJ Haynes/Seratones hit it big during their performances at SxSW. Even indirect press lifts our project profile, which is critical for us as we secure funding. We're starting to mold perceptions and momentum, constantly building the energy up.

Our internal deadline to feel confident about funding before shifting dates is April 15. That's drawing very near, but so much is happening between now and then. It might as well be twenty years away at this point. Please send positive vibes.

We've been super intentional about front-loading as much as we can into development in case things move at the pace that we'd like. One of our other producers, whom we will be announcing very soon, has been working hard on our preliminary budget breakdown. We've got most of our dream department heads in place with calendars marked off. Come on green light: we are ready for you!

For this trip to LA, I am highlighting five roles that I'd like for the casting director to focus on (if she decides to come on board.) For the other 20-something other parts, I feel confident about being able to cast some myself and the rest through a casting firm here in Atlanta that I've previously met with. I have several indie talents in mind that I would just die to work with, so hopefully they feel the same way. I'm not certain the order just yet in which we will announce our attachments, but I have a feeling all with become clear in the coming weeks.

That's everything for now - funding, funding, funding, with a side of casting and a dash of music.

Even though our crowdfunding campaign is over, you can still give our project a boost by giving it a 'follow' on Seed&Spark: when we hit 500 followers, we'll be eligible for a Filmmaker Gift Box worth over $8k in resources, goods, and film festival waivers. Click here to 'follow' Electric Bleau, and spread the word!
