An action-drama series by a team of black filmmakers and about a teen girl who, while struggling with both her sexuality and her parents divorce, decides to channel her frustration into becoming a vigilante for her crime-ridden city.
Bad Ally
Based in NYC. Raising $7k.
A comedy series that follows the close, intersectional friendship of a white, non-binary trans person and a black, cis straight woman. This very inclusive team hopes to reclaim PC culture and safe space mentality, proving once again that bad a$$ b*tches who don’t put up with offensive politics do indeed have a sense of humor.
Moonwalk With Me
Based in LA. Raising $6k.
A short family-fantasy film inspired by the director's own relationship with her Korean immigrant father. Focused on a Korean American girl struggling to keep her drifting father grounded, it aims to portray the immigrant experience, specifically from a Korean American lens.
Dirt Pilot
Los Angeles, CA. Raising $5,000.
This pilot for a crime/drama series comes from a Chapman University student focuses on a Native American girl struggling to find her missing sister, forced to navigate jurisdictional issues, corruption, and even resistance within her own family.
Topless
Seattle, WA. Raising $19,401.
A dramatic short about two strangers having breast removal surgeries for two different reasons: one is a cancer patient, and the other is trans. Inspired by the life of Jodi Jaecks, this project is being made by a cast and crew that’s largely people of color, women and trans.
